  • National Workshop on “Career through Innovation” organised by the C.I.E (Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College, Pilkhuwa on 24 & 25 November 2014.

National workshop on the topic “Career through Innovation” is organised by the C.I.E (Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College, Pilkhuwa on 24th & 25th November 2014. The event was inaugurated by lighting of lamp & Saraswati Vandna. Prof. Laxman Prasad, Director ( R & D), RKG Group delivered welcome speech stating CIE as a centre—from students, by students &  for students. More than 350 Students actively participated in the workshop with full enthusiasm and a positive spirit. Students thirst was of “How to survive in this extremely competitive world of engineers and how to survive best?” Their thirst was quenched by the motivating and kind words of the chief guest Mr. Veer Sagar (CEO and MD), SELECTRONIX INDIA Ltd. The students as well as the faculty members were in awe when this man with talents was handed over the mike to continue with the students for the rest of the day. His inspiring words can be briefed to an idea of the Industry Entrepreneurship. High impact entrepreneurship stands out on almost all aspects. They grow faster and create more jobs, contribute more to the society and transforms industries to a greater extent than their peers. They give them outsized importance for the economy and the society and critical mass for the policy makers to consider them a special class. His speech further highlighted the differentiated strategies that the high impact entrepreneurs take depending on their life cycle or the industry they are in.

On the second day of workshop, Dr. Ashish Soti
, Director of the institute welcomed the students and chief guests Mr Naveen Singhal (M.D, Harmonics India Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Amarnath, Asstt. Director, MSME, and Dr. Laxman Prasad, Group Director, R & D. The entire hall was echoed with applause of the students when the chief guests lit the lamp. Dr. Laxman Prasad introduced the students with his lecture on “Relevance of patents in innovation”. He explained the concept of innovation and patent process.  Topic “How and why entrepreneurship?” was explained by chief guest Mr. Naveen Singhal. He was able to show the students a better pathway leading to the better industry exploration and entrepreneurship. Dr. Amarnath, Asst. Director, MSME talked about “How to set up an industry?” Dr. Amarnath briefed the gathering about MSME Schemes of finance for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. The event successfully ended with the kind and gentle words of Dr. Ajit Singh Yadav ( DSW, R.K.G.E.C) as his vote of thanks to the chief guests. The complete programme was organised by the student co-ordinator of CIE. The special contribution of Prof. H.S. Rawat, Head T & P, Dr. Deepti Seth, Student I/c CIE – Mr. Anand Mohan Jha, Mr. Abhishek Singh Patel, Ms. Chetna Nema, Mr. Gaurav Jain, Mr. Anmol Gupta, Ms. Itu Malik were worth appreciating.
